MARTA HOSTS OPEN HOUSE TO CELEBRATE COMMUNITY VISION FOR TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT AT INDIAN CREEK STATION

ATLANTA - The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) and DeKalb County are hosting an open house to reveal and celebrate the transit-oriented development (TOD) Master Plan for Indian Creek Station.

The event will be held on Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. until noon at Electric Owl Studios, located at 3963 Redan Road, across from Indian Creek Station. Parking is available at Indian Creek Station. There is no parking at Electric Owl Studios. Shuttle service will be provided between Indian Creek Station and Electric Owl Studios, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The Indian Creek Station TOD Master Plan equips MARTA with a community-driven and actionable plan that lays the foundation for securing TOD-supportive entitlements, complements station rehabilitation, and promotes increased ridership by expanding reasons to engage with the area around the rail station and the entire MARTA system.

“Development at and around our rail stations connects people to opportunity, drives sustainable community development, and promotes regional prosperity, as well as increases ridership and improves the entire customer experience,” said MARTA General Manager and CEO Collie Greenwood.
