Definition: Bus Cost per Passenger Trip measures operating cost of providing bus service per unlinked passenger boarding.

 

Performance (March 2024):

The Cost per Bus Passenger Trip of $9.01 in March was lower than the forecast by $1.73. This favorable variance was due to operating expenses coming in under budget. The 2024 Fiscal Year-to-Date (months of July through March) Cost per Bus Passenger Trip of $9.00 exceeded the forecast by $0.20. This unfavorable variance was due to bus ridership falling short of the forecast by 0.8 million unlinked passenger trips.
